Am 04.August 2009 fand vor der Botschaft von Kasachstan in Berlin eine Protestaktion von SAV-Mitgliedern gegen die Inhaftierung des führenden Aktivisten der Gruppe "Sozialistischer Widerstand" in Kasachstan, Ainur Kurmanow, statt. Dieser wurde am 30.Juli zu einer fünfzehntägigen Gefängnisstrafe verurteilt, weil er eine nicht genehmigte Versammlung organisiert haben soll, die einen Protest zur Übergabe einer Petition an den Präsidenten von Kasachstan, Nursultan Nasarbajew, mit der Forderung nach dem Rücktritt der Regierung plante. Die Protestierenden machten ihre Empörung über das antidemokratische Vorgehen der kasachischen Behörden deutlich und übergaben ein Protestschreiben mit den Forderungen nach der sofortigen Freilassung von Ainur Kurmanow, für demokratische Rechte wie Meinungsfreiheit und Demonstrationsfreiheit auch in Kasachstan sowie der umgehenden Einstellung aller Repressalien gegen AktivistInnen der Arbeiterbewegung in Kasachstan an einen Botschaftsmitarbeiter. Dieser sicherte zu, diese an die zuständigen Stellen in Kasachstan weiterzuleiten.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
